Jesus is Coming

Jesus Is Coming

I’ve got a feeling the world is ending
Jesus is coming start getting busy friend

They say he’ll come down off his throne just to meet you face to face
And he’ll cleanse your soul with that amazing grace of his
And that cloud of joy will be your bed
And you’ll forever have his lap to rest your head

Jesus is Coming (2X)

But watch out he will not save us all
The righteous get their halos while the sinners get nailed to the wall
No way around it they say, nowhere to hide
The horses have been fed and now they’re ready to ride

Jesus is Coming (2X)

In the meantime we are stuck here
In our damp dirty rooms with our warm cheap beer
But the pale rider is watching us all
With his cell phone in his hand waiting for the Lord’s call

Jesus is Coming (2X)

I know that we have gone too far
We’ve got guns guarding our classrooms holding church down at the local bar
Don’t tell me you cannot picture this
Already school girls with their skirts up
Shaking angry tiny fists at the sky
They’re screaming why, yelling why, asking "why me?"

Modern day Mary’s making their choices
Clearing their voices for this struggle we call life
Still they’re buying their salvation from the back of magazines
But they don’t know what it means to be saved
I know someone who went and bought herself some salvation the other day
It didn’t do her a damn bit of good

What will he look like what will he say
Will he come during the night so he can sleep all day
He’ll have long blonde hair and a beard like wool
He’ll have one brown, one blue eye, wise man and a fool
He’ll have no certain way, just a quiet understanding
And that’s how you will know that Jesus has landed
